Our esthetics school training prepares you to sit for the state board exam. Once you are licensed, your training can open up opportunities in the beauty industry.

Beauty School FAQs

How much does esthetics school cost?

The total cost of the esthetics program is $12,000, which includes:

  • $11,050 in tuition
  • $800 for books and supplies
  • $150 registration fee

For both day and evening programs, payments are typically structured in two parts:

  • $6,000 due at contract signing
  • $6,000 due at 375 clock hours

Additional costs, such as uniforms or licensing-related expenses, may apply. Our team can walk you through a full breakdown of costs and payment options.

How can I pay for esthetics school?

Financial aid, including Pell Grants and Stafford loans, is available to those who qualify. We also offer payment plans and very competitive tuition rates. We want aspiring beauty professionals to have the option they need to make their education affordable so nothing holds them back from pursuing their dreams.

What is the schedule for the esthetics program?

We offer day and evening classes so you can fit your training around other obligations:
Days: Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
Evenings: Monday through Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.

When do esthetics classes start?

Esthetics classes begin multiple times throughout the year at our Royal Oak campus, where the program is offered.

Day Program

Evening Program

  • May 25

How long does it take to complete the esthetics program?

The esthetics program includes 750 clock hours and is designed to be completed in approximately 25 weeks, depending on your schedule and attendance.

Your academic year begins on your start date and ends once you complete all required training hours and graduation requirements. Our team can help you explore scheduling options and estimate a timeline based on your availability.

Do students work with real clients in the esthetics program?

Yes. Students gain hands-on experience by working with real clients in a supervised student salon environment.

Before working with guests, students build foundational skills through classroom instruction and practice. As they progress through the program, they begin performing services on real clients while receiving guidance and feedback from licensed instructors.

Can I work while attending esthetics school?

Some students choose to work while attending esthetics school, depending on their schedule and availability. Balancing school and work will depend on your individual commitments.

Does this program prepare me for an esthetician license?

Yes, the esthetics program is designed to help prepare students for the Michigan state licensing exam.
