If you are ready to become a licensed cosmetology instructor, we encourage you to book a campus tour. The State of Michigan requires cosmetology instructor training to cover 500 hours of additional training. We exceed these minimum requirements by providing our students with 600 hours of training. This gives our students more time to practice their skills with real students and establish their skills as instructors.
You’ll complete the first 350 hours of training in a junior class. The final 250 hours are done with a senior class, where you’ll journey beyond the classroom to gain skills with real students.
If you are eager to develop your skills as an instructor and learn how to effectively teach the skills, knowledge, and attitudes needed in the beauty industry, our course can help you get started. Schedule your campus tour to learn more about our instructor training and to begin the enrollment process.
You can complete the course in as little as five months. How long it takes to complete will depend on what schedule you choose. We offer day and evening schedule options so you can fit your training in with other obligations. It’s a great way to further your career without your training getting in the way of your other obligations!
