David Pressley School of Cosmetology provides practical cosmetology training for those aspiring to enter the beauty industry. Our cosmetology course includes 1500 hours of teaching, demonstrations, and training so you gain a thorough knowledge of the beauty industry and the skills you need for future success. You can learn the most updated techniques for hair, skin, and nail care and makeup applications that you can use in your future career.

As you move through our program, you can learn how to use your creative skill to help people from all walks of life feel more beautiful, confident, and happy with their appearance. Our classes give you a foundational knowledge of the industry. Then you can progress to demonstrations before working with real salon clients under the supervision of a licensed instructor. We help you build the skills you can use to sit for the State Board exam to become a licensed, professional cosmetologist.

Our programs include extensive hands-on training that will give you the opportunity to practice your skills and gain real-world experience. Youโ€™ll work with real clients in our on-campus salon, where youโ€™ll be able to apply your knowledge and skills to real-life scenarios. Our instructors are regularly providing feedback and support through the whole learning process.

Your Future As A Cosmetologist

A cosmetology education can prepare you to sit for the State licensing exam. Once you are licensed, many career opportunities can be waiting for you.

While we cannot guarantee employment after the program, we provide students with employment assistance by identifying employment opportunities. Our team can help prepare a resume and prep for future interviews, giving you the confidence to apply for a job in the beauty industry.

Cosmetology School FAQs

What is the schedule for your cosmetology course?

We offer both day and evening classes to suit your schedule:

Days: Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:08 p.m.
Evenings: Monday through Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 3:08 p.m.

Please note that you may need to attend some weekend classes to complete your training. We also offer six start dates throughout the year, so you can choose a schedule and starting time that works for you. Talk to our admissions team to learn more.

How long does it take to complete the cosmetology program?

Students can complete our cosmetology program in as little as a year. How long it takes you to complete the program depends on your schedule and when you start your training. You can speak to an enrollment advisor to learn more about your options and potential completion dates.

How much does cosmetology school cost?

The cost of our cosmetology program may vary based on the start date, financial aid options, and other factors. The estimated cost of attendance is:

  • Tuition: $18,000
  • Books and kit: $850
  • Registration fee: $150

For a total of $17,000. We pride ourselves on keeping our tuition affordable so our students get the best value for their money. You’ll find our tuition rate is very competitive.

Do you offer financial aid?

Yes, financial aid is available to those who qualify. Don’t let finances hold you back from your dreams! There are many options available. We participate in financial aid programs, including the Pell Grant and Stafford Loan programs. You can speak to our financial aid team to learn more about your financial aid and payment options.
